Description

These Valentine’s Day Swirled White Chocolate Candies are a delightful treat for the season of love. Smooth, creamy white chocolate is swirled with vibrant pink and red colors, creating a beautiful and festive candy that’s perfect for gifting or enjoying with loved ones. These candies are easy to make and are a fun way to celebrate Valentine’s Day!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 1/4 cup pink candy melts (or pink food coloring, see notes)
  • 1/4 cup red candy melts (or red food coloring, see notes)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chocolate:
    • Begin by melting the white chocolate. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the white chocolate chips in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth. Alternatively, melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water (double boiler method).
    • Once melted, stir in the vanilla extract (if using) for added flavor.
  • Prepare the Colored Chocolate:
    • In separate bowls, melt the pink and red candy melts (or use pink and red food coloring if you’re using plain white chocolate). Follow the same process as the white chocolate, microwaving in 20-30 second intervals until smooth.
  • Assemble the Candies:
    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
    • Pour the melted white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer using a spatula.
    • Next, drizzle the melted pink and red chocolate over the white chocolate in random spots or in a swirl pattern.
  • Create the Swirls:
    • Using a toothpick, skewer, or a wooden stick, gently swirl the pink and red chocolate into the white chocolate to create a marbled effect. Be careful not to overmix, as you want to keep the colors distinct but blended.
    • If you like, you can add festive sprinkles or edible glitter on top for extra decoration.
  • Chill the Candies:
    • Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes, or until the chocolate is completely set and hard.
  • Cut and Serve:
    • Once the chocolate is firm, break it into pieces or cut it into squares, depending on your preference.
    • Serve the candies in cute boxes or jars for gifting, or enjoy them yourself!

Notes

  • If you’re using food coloring, make sure to use oil-based colors, as water-based food coloring can cause the chocolate to seize.
  • You can use any other candy melt colors to suit different occasions or themes, or add extra decorations like mini heart-shaped candies.
  • These chocolates can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
