Ingredients
Scale
Salisbury Steak Meatballs:
- 1 bag (26 oz) frozen meatballs (about 30–35 meatballs)
- 2 cups reduced-sodium beef broth (see notes)
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Cornstarch Slurry:
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (see notes)
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine the frozen meatballs, beef broth, brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours, or until the meatballs are heated through and the flavors have melded together.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water to create a slurry.
- After the meatballs have finished cooking, slowly pour the cornstarch slurry into the slow cooker while stirring.
- Cover and cook for an additional 20-30 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened.
- Stir well before serving. Serve the Salisbury steak meatballs with mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
Notes
- For a thicker gravy, you can increase the amount of cornstarch in the slurry.
- For a richer flavor, you can substitute regular beef broth instead of the reduced-sodium variety.
- If you prefer homemade meatballs, you can make your own beef meatballs and follow the same steps.
