  • Author: Ellie
  • Total Time: 75-85 minutes
  • Yield: 1 loaf (about 10-12 slices) 1x

Description

This Reese’s Peanut Butter Banana Bread is the perfect combination of sweet, savory, and indulgent. The moist banana bread is made even better with the rich flavor of peanut butter and chunks of Reese’s peanut butter cups. It’s a treat that combines two favorite flavors in every bite!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Banana Bread:
    • 3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 ½ cups)
    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
    • ¾ cup granulated sugar
    • ½ cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional, but adds warmth)
  • For the Reese’s Peanut Butter Swirl:
    • ½ cup Reese’s peanut butter cups, chopped (about 68 mini cups, or more if you want extra)
    • 2 tablespoons peanut butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Prepare the Banana Bread
    • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Set aside.
    • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and peanut butter together until creamy and smooth.
    • Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix until fully combined. Stir in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
    • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined (be careful not to overmix).
  3. Add Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
    • Gently fold the chopped Reese’s peanut butter cups into the batter, making sure they’re evenly distributed.
  4. Bake the Banana Bread
    • Pour the batter into your prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with just a few crumbs.
    • If the top of the bread starts to get too dark before it’s fully baked, cover it loosely with aluminum foil and continue baking until done.
  5. Peanut Butter Drizzle
    • While the bread is cooling, melt the 2 tablespoons of peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl for 20-30 seconds, or until smooth and pourable.
    • Once the banana bread has cooled slightly (about 10 minutes), drizzle the melted peanut butter over the top for an extra peanut butter kick!
  6. Cool and Serve
    • Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
    • Slice and enjoy the rich, peanut buttery goodness in every bite!

Notes

  • For extra peanut butter flavor, you can spread a bit of peanut butter on each slice before serving.
  • Feel free to add more Reese’s peanut butter cups if you want a more decadent treat.
  • If you prefer a more classic banana bread, you can leave out the Reese’s peanut butter cups and peanut butter swirl for a simple, delicious banana bread.
