Description

Indulge in the rich, nutty goodness of this classic pecan pie. With a perfectly flaky crust and a luscious, caramelized filling, it’s a timeless dessert that’s sure to impress.

Ingredients

For the Pie:

  • 1 unbaked homemade pie crust (your recipe makes 2 crusts; freeze the other for later use)

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 tablespoons light brown sugar

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup light corn syrup

  • ¾ teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ⅓ cup salted butter, softened or melted

  • 3 large eggs

  • 1½ cups pecan halves (can chop the pecans or leave whole)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, salt, corn syrup, vanilla extract, melted butter, and eggs until well combined.

  • Stir in the pecans, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

  • Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust, spreading the pecans evenly.

  • Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until the center is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.

  • Allow the pie to cool completely before serving to ensure the filling sets properly

Notes

For a decorative touch, you can arrange whole pecan halves on top of the pie before baking.

If the crust edges brown too quickly, cover them with aluminum foil to prevent burning.

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
