  • 2 cups Rice Chex

  • 2 cups Wheat Chex

  • 1½ cups mini pretzels

  • 1 cup mixed nuts

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter

  • 1½ tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)

  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt


Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine Corn Chex, Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzels, and mixed nuts.

  • Make Sauce: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Stir in honey, hot sauce, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix well.

  • Coat Mix: Pour hot honey mixture over dry ingredients. Stir thoroughly to evenly coat.

  • Bake: Spread mix on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes for even toasting.

  • Cool: Remove from oven and let cool completely. The mix will crisp as it cools.

 

  • Store or Serve: Once cooled, transfer to an airtight container or serve immediately.

Notes

Adjust the spice level by changing the amount of cayenne or hot sauce.
