Description

A delicious twist on the classic Caesar salad, the Grilled Chicken Caesar Burger features tender, grilled chicken topped with creamy Caesar dressing, crisp romaine lettuce, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese—all nestled in a soft, toasted burger bun. It’s a perfect fusion of a burger and salad, ideal for a summer meal or a satisfying weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

For the Caesar Toppings:

  • ½ cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce (shredded or whole leaves)
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

For the Burger Assembly:

  • 4 burger buns (brioche or your favorite type)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for toasting the buns)

Instructions

  • Prepare the chicken:
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle with lemon juice for extra flavor.
  • Grill the chicken:
Grill the chicken for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Toast the buns:
While the chicken is resting, lightly brush the burger buns with olive oil and place them cut-side down on the grill (or a skillet) for 1-2 minutes until golden and toasted.
  • Assemble the burgers:
Spread a generous amount of Caesar dressing on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a grilled chicken breast on top. Add a handful of shredded romaine lettuce and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Garnish and serve:
Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch. Place the top half of the bun on the burger and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try marinating the chicken in Caesar dressing for about 30 minutes before grilling.
  • You can also add extra toppings like crispy bacon or tomatoes if you prefer.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can cook the chicken in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
