Description

Elevate your lunchtime routine with this delightful and easy-to-make turkey and cheese panini. Packed with savory flavors and a delightfully crispy texture, this homemade panini is sure to satisfy your cravings for a tasty turkey sandwich. Featuring perfectly melted cheese and a golden-brown bread, this turkey panini is a classic that never fails to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of whole grain or white bread
  • 8 slices deli turkey breast
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese (or cheese of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for grilling)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Sandwiches:
Lay the slices of bread flat on a clean surface. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice and Dijon mustard on the other side if desired.
  • Assemble the Panini:
Layer two slices of turkey breast on each sandwich, followed by one slice of cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, mustard side down.
  • Grill the Panini:
Heat a panini press or grill pan over medium heat. Brush both sides of the sandwich with olive oil and place the sandwiches on the grill. Close the panini press or grill the sandwiches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  • Serve:
Once the panini is crisp and the cheese is melted, remove from the grill and cut in half. Serve immediately with a side of chips or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • You can use any type of bread you prefer for this panini, such as sourdough, ciabatta, or baguette.
  • For a more gourmet version, try adding fresh spinach, tomatoes, or cranberry sauce to the sandwich for an extra flavor kick.
  • If you don’t have a panini press, you can use a regular grill pan and press the sandwich with a heavy pan or spatula to get that crispy, golden-brown texture.
