Description
These Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are a crispy, golden delight with a creamy cheesecake filling and juicy strawberries tucked between buttery bread slices. Deep-fried to perfection and dusted with powdered sugar, they’re a dreamy treat that tastes like fair food meets gourmet dessert!
Ingredients
-
8 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
-
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
-
2 tablespoons powdered sugar (plus more for dusting)
-
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, diced
-
1 egg
-
2 tablespoons milk
-
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
-
Oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil works best)
Instructions
-
In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
-
Spread the cream cheese mixture onto 4 slices of bread. Top with diced strawberries, then place the remaining 4 slices of bread on top to form sandwiches.
-
Press down the edges of each sandwich to seal (you can also crimp the edges with a fork for a tighter seal).
-
In a shallow bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and cinnamon.
-
Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
-
Heat about 1 inch of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Once hot (around 350°F / 175°C), carefully fry each sandwich for 1–2 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
-
Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
-
Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Make sure to seal the sandwiches well to prevent the filling from leaking during frying.
You can substitute strawberries with raspberries or blueberries for a twist.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce for extra indulgence.
