Ingredients

Scale

For the Cookies:

  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

For the Creamy Glaze:

  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons eggnog
  • Pinch of ground nutmeg

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cookie Dough:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    • In another bowl, whisk together the eggnog and vanilla extract.
    • Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  • Shape the Cookies:
    • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
    • Flatten each cookie slightly with the back of a spoon to help them spread evenly while baking.
  • Bake the Cookies:
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
    • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on a wire rack.
  • Make the Glaze:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, eggnog, and a pinch of nutmeg until smooth and creamy.
  • Glaze the Cookies:
    • Once the cookies have cooled, drizzle or spread the glaze over the top of each cookie.
  • Serve:
    • Serve the cookies fresh or store them in an airtight container for up to a week. Enjoy the holiday flavors!

Notes

  • If you prefer a stronger eggnog flavor, feel free to add a bit more eggnog to the cookie dough or glaze.
