- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then coat with cornstarch.
- Dip each piece in beaten eggs and fry in hot oil until crispy and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- In a separate pan, combine soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic, sesame oil, and water. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the sauce and cook until thickened.
- Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until coated.
- Serve the honey sesame chicken garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
- You can use chicken thighs instead of chicken breast for a more flavorful option.
