Description
A healthier twist on traditional buffalo wings, these crispy cauliflower florets are tossed in a spicy buffalo sauce, offering all the flavor without the guilt. Perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.
Ingredients
-
½ cup buffalo wing sauce (such as Frank’s)
-
1 tablespoon butter, melted
-
1 teaspoon honey
-
1 (2-pound) cauliflower, broken into florets
-
¼ cup all-purpose flour
-
¼ cup cornstarch
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon seasoned salt (such as Lawry’s)
-
¼ teaspoon paprika
-
Drizzle of buffalo wing sauce (optional)
Instructions
-
In a large bowl, whisk together the buffalo wing sauce, melted butter, and honey. Add the cauliflower florets and toss until well coated.
-
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, seasoned salt, and paprika. Gradually sprinkle this mixture over the cauliflower, tossing to ensure even coating.
-
Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.
-
Arrange the cauliflower florets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the cauliflower is golden brown and crispy.
-
If desired, drizzle additional buffalo wing sauce over the cooked cauliflower before serving.
Notes
For a vegan version, substitute the butter with a plant-based alternative.
To achieve extra crispiness, consider placing the cooked cauliflower under a broiler for 1-2 minutes after air frying.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch or blue cheese dressing
