Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 23 tsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • ½ cup chicken broth or reserved pasta water

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water in a large pot. Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. Season the Shrimp: Toss shrimp in Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.

  3. Sauté the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side or until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

  4. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter. Sauté onion and garlic until soft. Add cream and broth. Stir in Parmesan. Simmer until thickened.

  5. Combine: Add pasta and shrimp to the sauce. Toss to coat.

  6. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley and more Parmesan. Serve hot.

Notes

Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melting and flavor.

Add vegetables like bell peppers, spinach, or mushrooms for variety.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

Reheat gently with a splash of cream or broth.
