Ingredients

  • Fettuccine pasta
  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Butter
  • Red bell pepper
  • Green bell pepper
  • Heavy cream
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and cook until slightly softened.
  • Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  • Add shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve shrimp mixture over cooked fettuccine.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

  • You can adjust the level of spiciness by adding more or less Cajun seasoning to suit your taste.
  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half or milk instead of heavy cream.
