  • Author: Ellie
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Creamy Cajun Chicken Pasta is a flavorful and rich dish featuring tender chicken strips, bell peppers, and a creamy sauce made with heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, all tossed with fettuccine pasta. The Cajun seasoning adds a spicy kick, making this pasta the perfect balance of creamy and zesty.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Season chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink in the center, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and slice into strips.
  • In the same skillet, add bell peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook until vegetables are soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese to the skillet. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.
  • Add cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet. Toss until everything is well coated in the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Cajun seasoning depending on your preferred spice level.
  • You can substitute the fettuccine with another type of pasta like penne or spaghetti.
  • For a lighter version, you can use half-and-half or a lower-fat cream instead of heavy cream.
