Description
Tender, juicy chicken breasts smothered in a rich, creamy Asiago cheese sauce—this dish offers a luxurious dining experience that’s surprisingly easy to prepare. Ideal for weeknights or special occasions, it pairs beautifully with pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup grated Asiago cheese
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
-
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for an additional minute.
-
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the grated Asiago cheese and Italian seasoning until the sauce thickens.
-
Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the chicken, and let it warm through for a few minutes.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated Asiago cheese for the best flavor.
Substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts if preferred.
Serve with pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
