Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

- Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually mix into the creamed mixture until fully incorporated.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if using.
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting them into squares.
