- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a teaspoon of cinnamon or a pinch of nutmeg to the dry ingredients.
- You can substitute mini chocolate chips for a more evenly distributed chocolate-to-batter ratio.
- Muffins are best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days or frozen for up to a month.
