Ingredients
-
8 hot dogs
-
1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
-
1 can (15 oz) chili (without beans)
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
1 tablespoon yellow mustard (optional)
-
1 tablespoon onion powder (optional)
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
Prepare the Dough: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
-
Assemble the Bake: Place a hot dog at the wide end of each crescent triangle. Top with a spoonful of chili and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
-
Roll the Dough: Roll up the dough around the hot dog and chili, sealing the edges.
-
Bake: Place the rolled-up hot dogs in the baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
-
Serve: Serve hot, optionally topping with extra chili, cheese, mustard, or onions.
Notes
Use turkey or veggie dogs for a lighter version.
Feel free to top with extra chili and cheese once it’s out of the oven for an extra cheesy experience.
You can make this dish in advance — just refrigerate the assembled dish and bake it the next day.
