  • 1 package of refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent roll dough)

  • 1 lb ground beef (or chicken)

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican cheese blend)

  • 1/4 cup diced onions (optional)

  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers (optional)

  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)

  • Salsa (for dipping)

  • Sour cream (for dipping)


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Cook the meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain the excess fat.

  • Season the meat: Add the taco seasoning and water to the meat and simmer for 5 minutes, until the mixture thickens.

  • Prepare the dough: Unroll the pizza dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Press it out into a rectangle.

  • Fill the dough: Evenly spread the cooked taco meat along the center of the dough. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat mixture.

  • Roll up the dough: Carefully roll the dough into a log, enclosing the filling completely.

  • Slice and bake: Cut the dough roll into 1-inch slices and arrange them on the baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
