  • Yield: 2 sandwiches 1x

Description

This Cheddar and Bacon Turkey Melt on Sourdough is the ultimate comfort sandwich—crispy, golden bread stuffed with savory deli turkey, melty cheddar, smoky bacon, fresh spinach, and juicy tomato, all tied together with tangy honey mustard. It’s easy to make and loaded with flavor, perfect for lunch or a cozy dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices sourdough or thick, crusty bread of choice

  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard

  • 2 slices white cheddar cheese

  • 4 slices deli turkey

  • Thin tomato slices (from 1 medium red tomato)

  • ½ cup fresh baby spinach

  • 4 strips cooked bacon

  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened

Instructions

  1. Spread honey mustard on one side of each slice of bread.

  2. On two slices, layer in order: 1 slice cheddar cheese, 2 slices turkey, tomato slices, spinach, and 2 strips of cooked bacon.

  3. Top with the remaining slices of bread, honey mustard side down, to form sandwiches.

  4. Spread softened butter on the outsides of both sandwiches.

  5. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add the sandwiches and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side, pressing gently with a spatula, until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.

  6. Slice in half and serve immediately.

Notes

Swap white cheddar with sharp cheddar or Swiss for a different flavor twist.

Add avocado or red onion for extra texture and flavor.

Works great in a panini press for an evenly melted and crispy sandwich.
