The combination of seafood and steak offers a delightful twist, making it stand out from the usual pasta dishes.

Ingredients

  • Shrimp

  • Steak

  • Fettuccine (or pasta of your choice)

  • Heavy cream

  • Parmesan cheese

  • Butter

  • Garlic

  • Cajun seasoning

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • Fresh parsley

  • Lemon juice

Instructions

  • Prepare the Steak and Shrimp:
Season the steak with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook it to your preferred level of doneness in a skillet with olive oil, then set aside to rest. For the shrimp, season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Sauté them in the same skillet until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Cook the Pasta:
Boil the pasta in salted water according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.

  • Make the Alfredo Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring it to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, and let the sauce thicken, adjusting with pasta water to reach the desired consistency.

  • Combine Everything:
Add the cooked pasta, steak, and shrimp to the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together until well combined and the pasta is evenly coated with the creamy sauce.

  • Garnish and Serve:
Serve the dish hot, garnished with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.

Notes

Don’t Overcook the Shrimp: Shrimp cook quickly. Keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking, which can make them tough.

Rest the Steak: Let your steak rest after cooking to ensure the juices stay locked in, making it tender and juicy.

Adjust the Spice: You can add more Cajun seasoning or a bit of hot sauce to the Alfredo sauce for extra heat.

Pasta Texture: Undercook the pasta slightly if you’re going to toss it in the sauce, as it will continue cooking in the sauce and absorb the flavor.

Use Fresh Garlic: Fresh garlic gives the sauce a better, more aromatic flavor compared to garlic powder
