This simple and delicious banana bread is the perfect way to use up ripe bananas. With a moist, tender crumb and a subtle sweetness, it makes an ideal snack or breakfast treat.

- 2 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.
- Stir in the melted butter.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
- Mix in the flour.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add chocolate chips or chopped nuts to the batter.
- Make sure the bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
- If you prefer a sweeter bread, you can increase the sugar to 1 cup.
